A Penny For My Thoughts is both an autobiography and memoir. It covers my life back in rural Zimbabwe and up to my working life in its capital city, Harare. It also coincides with the advent of a guerrilla war for the independence of the country from colonial Rhodesia under British rule to independent Zimbabwe under the first black President, the late Robert Mugabe.
It chronicles his undemocratic rule that ushered in a long period of suffering until a staged coup by his deputy who is now the President, but a worse dictator than his mentor, unfortunately.
